Inscription: Inscribed in pen and brown ink at lower left center: "View of the Entrance Between the Pavillions." At lower right center in pen and brown ink: "Veüe de l'Entrée du Jardin prise entre les deux Pavillons."
Thomas Grenville (British, 1755–1846), according to Peter Willis, Thomas Grenville was either Viscount Cobham's nephew (1719-1747), a brother-in-law of William Pitt; or else Cobham's great-nephew Thomas Grenville (1755-1846) a book collector and donor of the Grenville Library to the British Museum.; Sir Thomas Phillipps, 1st Baronet (British, 1792–1872); Edwards (London), (?), Peter Willis writes that the album was purchased at the Phillips by "Edwards" for £14.0s.0d.; Vendor: F. & G.
