The drawings contains design for a coat of arms of which the central compartment has been left blank. The design is characterized by two putti, standing on strapwork scrolls and holding up a large crown over a female bust above the coat of arms. Below, the coat of arms ends in an animal-shaped mask which is flanked by two roosters, depicted from the side.

The lines of the drawing have been incised for transfer, except for the two figures of the roosters at bottom. This indicates that the drawings served as a model for execution in a different medium. Its exact purpose was discovered in 2015, when the design was identified as the model for an engraved title page to a series of prints by the Italian artist Giovanni Andrea Maglioli. Whether Maglioli himself is responsible for the design is not entirely clear, however.
