Published as part of a series designed and published by Philippon in 1645, reproducing elements of Italian architecture, this print shows part of an ornamented ceiling. Below, an octagonal coffer contains an image of Aeneas fleeing Troy with Anchises and Ascanius. Above is a rosette surrounded by figures and acanthus scrolls in a star-shaped panel.
