Not on view

In a poverty-stricken room, a group of Italians practise opera. A middle aged man plays a harpsichord at left with a small boy playing the violin next to him. In the center, an older man plays a cello while a young man stands and sings. At the far right a young woman sings as she holds a baby on her knee, and a cloth up to the fire to dry. A thin greyhound howls up the chimney. The publication line has been trimmed off. A companion print to "A French Family."
