Fan leaf decorated with caricatures and reversible heads
This fan leaf is composed of various caricatures, among them reversible heads wherein two faces are joined at the base so that the upper lip of one becomes the chin of the other. The formal play of orientation is particularly well suited to the fan format, which, when mounted and held, could be encountered by viewers from a multitude of angles.
