Design for a Silver Vessel (Wine Cooler?)

19th century
Not on view
Large-scale design for a silver vessel, possibly a wine cooler, decorated with Rococo ornament. The vessel has a large solid foot, and a single handle that is connected on either side. The drawings presents the object in elevation, but the shapes have been enhanced through the addition of washes and heightening. Below the elevation, a schematic top view is added, which shows a partition into three circular compartments with worked open leaf decorations filling the spaces in between.
