Design for a Wall Elevation with a Large Painted Panel and a Sofa (Third Floor)

ca. 1900–14
Not on view
Design for a period style wall elevation with a large painted panel and sofa in the middle bay. The painted panel shows a pastoral scene in the style of Francois Boucher with a woman on a swing, pushed by a man and a second couple seated on the floor. The scene is framed by two trees. Flanking the panel are bays of wooden panels decorated at the top with small oval landscape scenes. Below the wall elevation part of the floor is also depicted.
