Print from a series of six reproducing the weapon trophies over the second floor windows of Palazzo Milesi in Rome, designed and executed by Polidoro da Caravaggio in 1525/26. The print shows a large trophy with a Roman centurion helmet. The helmet is characterized by the figure of a sphinx which supports a three-tiered feather plume. The helmet is flanked on both sides by a large shield. In a semispherical compartment below the helmet the inscriptions have been placed.
