Imagines XXIIII Caesarum

Publisher Donato Bertelli Italian
1579
Not on view
Print series containing a title page and 24 portrait busts of Roman emperors, according to the title drawn after antique marbles. The rendering of the individual portrait busts appears to have been 'enlivened' somewhat. The series was published by Donato Bertelli in different configurations throughout the 1570s, sometimes containing 23 and at other times 24 portraits.
