Funeral Procession for Charles X Gustav of Sweden, Held on November 3rd, 1660
Long frieze showing the funeral procession of the Swedish King Charles X Gustav of Sweden (1622-1660), held on November 3rd 1660 in Stockholm. The print shows the procession going through the city from the royal palace to the church of Saint Francis (Riddarholmskyrkan) . On the left side the procession is led along the water where ships are firing their canons in honor of the King. Along the top of the print the heraldic signs for all the regions of the kingdom are depicted. Along the bottom, the people in the procession are identified. The whole event was described by the Swedish field marshall Erik I Dahlberg.
