Plaque in the shape of a rabbit
Shang (ca. 1600–1046 BCE)–Western Zhou dynasty (1046–771 BCE)
Not on view
This jade carving is among the earliest representations of a rabbit created during China’s Bronze Age. The plaque’s compact size and its small hole suggest that it was probably used as a pendant.
