This print is bound in Volume II of Oeuvres. Jombert published his collection of Le Pautre in 1751. Volume II contains "desseins... pour la décoration des Eglises et des Jardins;." This print is part of a suite of six plates depicting altars in the Roman style. The series was published by Gérard I Jollain in 1665, 1673, and 1677.
