This print is bound in Volume III of Oeuvres. Jombert published his collection of Le Pautre in 1751. Volume III contains "desseins d'orfeverie, serrurerie, etc.;" This print is part of a series of six plates depicting vases in the modern style with figures dressed in the clothing of antiquity. The series was published by Pierre II Mariette in 1659 and was republished by Jombert in 1751.
