The nude hero stands at center holding a sword with a wavy blade in his right hand, a shield slung over his left arm, and the severed head of Medusa in his left hand. Thin trees are behind and in the foreground, a thorny tendril springs towards Medusa's head. A panel at the top contains an image of the three blind sisters and "Perseus" is inscribed below on a ribbon surrounded by snakes.
