This print is bound in Volume III of Oeuvres. Jombert published his collection of Le Pautre in 1751. Volume III contains "desseins d'orfeverie, serrurerie, etc.;" This print is part of a series of six plates depicting vases or cruets in the Roman style, the settings of which are ornamented with figures in the clothing of antiquity. The series was published by Pierre II Mariette, by Nicolas Langlois in 1661, by Jean Mariette, and by Jombert in 1751.
