This print is bound in Volume IV of Oeuvres. Jombert published his collection of Le Pautre in 1751. Volume IV contains "desseins d'ornemens et trophées d'armes;" This print is part of a series of six plates depicting friezes and different ornaments in the Italian style. The series was published by Pierre II Mariette and by Jombert in 1751.
