This print is bound in Volume IV of Oeuvres. Jombert published his collection of Le Pautre in 1751. Volume IV contains "desseins d'ornemens et trophées d'armes;" This print is part of a series of six plates depicting friezes, foliage, or tritons in the roman style. The series was published by Pierre II Mariette and was republished by Jombert in 1751.
