Vase with abstract scroll decoration
Cizhou wares were domestic wares produced and used throughout north China. They were made as well at a few kilns in Inner Mongolia, and the combination of the sketchy incising with the use of a darker glaze in the central register suggests that this towering vase was made in the northeast.
