Technical description: Quarter size violin, spruce top of narrow grain widening toward sides; moderately flamed maple ribs, neck and one-piece back; back inlaid with clover-leaf designs in purfling at top and bottom; bottom cloverleaf incorporates monogram AF or FA; ebony pegs, fingerboard, nut, saddle, tailpiece, end button; opaque reddish-brown varnish, light edges.
