Excavated by the Metropolitan Museum of Art Egyptian Expedition at the lower end of the Hatshepsut Causeway, Deir el Bahri Cache, 1915-16. Allotted to the Museum by the Egyptian Government in the division of finds. Shipped to the Museum and accessioned 1932.
