This decorated pottery jar was inside the coffin of Harmose (36.3.172), near the mummy's head. The mouth of the jar is covered with an upturned saucer that is held in place with a small piece of linen cloth, a standard mode of sealing a pottery container.

Excavated by the Egyptian Expedition of the Metropolitan Museum of Art, 1935–1936. Acquired by the Museum in the division of finds, 1936.
