Female relief head with fillet
Ptolemaic Period
This small gypsum relief depicts a woman with Hellenistic-style features and corkscrew locks. Over her brow she wears what appears to be a small uraeus, and the lowest band encircling her head could be a diadem. The two sectioned rows above the diadem are difficult to explain in terms of known iconography.
