Mummy Bandage Inscribed for the Priest Padi-aset
Inscribed for "The God's Father (a priestly title), Padi-aset (?), son of the God's Father Nehemes-Khonsu, true of voice (deceased)," this bandage of worn linen was used in the wrappings of a baby who died at around the age of two. The child had been placed in a roughly constructed rectangular coffin of the "qersu" type (with a vaulted lid and corner posts) and buried, alongside a second, slightly older child, in the Senenmut Quarry at Deir el-Bahari.
