Bull
Late Period–Ptolemaic Period
Not on view
A cupreous metal bull with a heavy, strong body stands on a thin rectangular platform. It is unclear whether this bull was originally intended to represent a deity or not. It bears no special markings, unlike representations of the sacred Apis bull, such as 04.2.486. A small indentation on the top of the head, however, may mark the location of a broken crown.
