Bracelet with knots and wedjat eye
Third Intermediate Period
This double strand of two-ply linen, knotted twenty times at intervals and broken in several places, was strung with a single wedjat eye of blue faience. It was found, along with four other bracelets, around Henettawy’s right wrist. A representation of the healed eye of the falcon-god Horus, this was a powerful symbol of protection and regeneration.
