Madge Kendal
The acress Madge Kendal appears here as Lady Giovanna in "The Falcon," an 1879 play by Tennyson that was based on the Decameron. The print was used to illustrate "The Etcher" (London: Sampson Low…, 1880), appearing in volume 2 as plate 17. This impression is signed by both the artist and the sitter.
