From a group of engravings after "Hortorum viridariorumque elegantes et multiplicis formae", a series of twenty-one etchings by Hans Vredeman de Vries, first published by Philips Galle in 1583. The copies (all in reverse except for those after plates 1 and 7) include seventeen plates and were published in three editions. This print belongs to the first edition of copies, published by Johann Bussemacher in 1615.
