Plate 1 from a series of designs to decorate carriages and other things. This plate is caracterized by two designs of niches in half-ellipses.
The top one presents the title of the series in a round medallion over which is a mask with wings. On both sides of the medallion are sphinges with their heads turned toward it.
The bottom one presents a round medallion supported by two leaf-like masks. On both sides are winged female creatures with flowers baskets on theri heads and vegetal scrolls instead of legs.
