Plate 2 of the series 'Livre Nouveau de Prinsipes d'Ornemens', consisting of a title page and seven plates of rudimentary ornament designs to instruct (young) artists in how to design and delineate ornaments. This plate consists of four square panels and two friezes with individual motifs made up out of C-volutes, simple rocaille ornament, palmettes, and acanthus scrolls.
