Plate 14 of a series of designs for doors and mantel pieces. This design presents a mantel piece. On the sides of the fireplace are consoles and garlands. Above it is a garland and a winged mascaron. Over this is a pediment with a drapery with a mask. The acroteria support the bust of a warrior and vessels projecting flames. behind the bust are flags, shields, quivers and clubs.
