Plate from Plusieurs Pieces et Ornements Darquebuzerie...
This plate comes from a series of designs for gunsmiths by Claude Simonin and augmented by De Lacollombe. The main element of the plate is the butt of a long gun with arabesques and grotesque animals. The second design presents the side of a long gun with its side plate. This side plate features a circular medallion with three fleur-de-lis. It also features two cornucopias and allegories of war and fame.
