Plate 2 of a series of designs for tombs. This design shows a niche between two columns. In the niche is a vase on a pedestal, itself on a plinth. On the left side of the pedestal is a woman stretching to put a wreath on the vase. On the right side is a woman turning away from the vase mournfully. On the plinth is an oval medallion with a profile bust, and a garland of leaves. In the foreground, at the bottom of the plate, is a tablet with a cartouche, garlands of leaves and a skull with batwings.
