Plate from [Altars]
Altar design. This plate shows an altar framed by corinthian columns and pilasters. Over the entablature is an attic level with a window with a segmental arch. Over the window is a putto's head and a sloping cornice. On the attic level also are sets of two colums with waterleaf capitals, and volutes. At the very top of the structure is a cross.
