Unnumbered plate with a kneeling figure wearing a hat at right reaching towards a standing figure at left. This image appears below plate 26, Main entrance to the Circus of Maxentius (identified in the inscription as Circus of Antoninus Caracalla), and across from page 36, which includes a description of the Circus. Unlike most of the half-page image pairs in the volume, on this page the top plate with the view of the Roman monument is smaller than the unnumbered image below.
