Not on view
Drawing, design for a woman's historic costume, part of a group of 88 costume designs by Vincente Minnelli. The costume consists of an off-shulder, 18th-century style gown of yellow color with short puff sleeves over lean, long sleeves and a long, full skirt with an opening on the front, and a matching yellow headpiece, made up of a large, wide-brimmed hat with a large bundle of feathers. The neckline of the dress is trimmed with white lace, and the sleeves are embellished with a scrolling pattern in silver. The hair is long and curly, worn to one side under the hat.
