Woman's theatrical costume with matching gray jacket and shorts, red waistcoat and hat
Drawing, design for a woman's costume, part of a group of 88 costume designs by Vincente Minnelli. The costume consists of a gray suede jacket and matching shorts, embroidered in brown, worn over a red waistcoat. Both the jacket and the shorts have large, closed pockets. A red felt hat with a large feather, brown gloves, and white socks with brown tassels, worn with matching white and brown shoes complete the outfit. The female figure in the drawing stands with her weight on her left foot, her left hand on her hip, and the right hand holding a thin, long cane.
