Drawing, design for a woman's costume, part of a group of 88 costume designs by Vincente Minnelli. The costume was designed for the number 'Maharanee', in the 'Ziegfeld Follies of 1936', produced for the Shuberts. It consists of a long, pleated, yellow gown with a golden belt at the waist, worn under a long, black coat with train. A black hat without brin and with a bundle of black, scrolling feathers and black gloves complete the outfit.

An additional sheet of notes, typed by Vincente Minnelli, presents the details of the costume design: "#56 [underlined] 1 girl 'Maharanee' / Lemon yellow accordion pleated chiffon gown. Wide gold / kid belt and neck band. The coat is black cellophane velvet / as per sample attached. The coat has a train of about a yard on the floor. Black kid gloves. / Cellophane velvet hat with ostrich tips."
