Near the sea, a man thatches the roof of an inn, as a companion steadies his ladder. A sign painted with a magpie hangs from the inn. Another man rides a dark horse and leads a white one loaded with a full sack, as a boy brings water for the animals, a young woman with a basket watches, and a pig eats cabbage leaves.
