Description of a new system of spinning simultaneously with both hands, with inscription: “Ce memoire a été presenté a la Reine par l’auteur le 14 December 1777.” The book is dedicated “aux dames,” to whom the art of spinning belongs by nature. Contemporary gold-tooled morocco binding, with simple border and corner tools (fleur-de-lys) and a central armorial stamp depicting the arms of Marie-Antoinette; all edges gilt; blue silk endleaves.
