Trade cards from the "Goudey Wide Pen Premiums" series (R314), issued in an unnumbered set of 120 cards in 1936 by the Goudey Gum Company. The series was designated by Jefferson Burdick as the "Portraits" set, but is more commonly referred to as "Goudey Wide Pens" or "Goudey Wide Pen Premiums." The cards were sold as in-store premiums to promote Goudey Gum. Each card displays a facsimile autograph and all versos are blank.
