Trade cards from the "National Chicle Fine Pen Premiums" series (R313), issued in an unnumbered set of 120 cards in 1936 by the National Chicle Gum Company. The set was designated by Jefferson Burdick as the "Portraits and Action (Fine Pen)" series, but is more commonly referred to as "National Chicle Fine Pen Premiums," "National Chicle Fine Pens," or "Fine Pens." The cards were sold as in-store premiums to promote National Chicle Gum. Each card displays a facsimile autograph and all versos are blank.
