The Stairs, Rowallan
A view of the steps of the sixteenth century Rowallan castle in Scotland. Between the two towers flanking the stairs is an inscription on the gable that refers to the builder John Muir and his wife, Marion Cunningham, whose Arms appear to right and left, with the Royal Arms of Scotland above the lettering.
