A view of the Ponte Vecchio in Florence, Italy and its surrounding architecture along the Arno river with a woman standing at right on a ballustraded walkway and a small boat under the bridge at center.
The set of etchings in Northern Italy, 1894-96 is comprised of twenty-six subjects. Twenty-five sets were published by W.B. Paterson, Glasgow, in 1896 in addition to a few seperate impressions. Some impressions vary greatly in the amount of ink left on unworked surfaces. This etching is number 21 in the North Italian set.
