The Drinkers
This is a copy in reverse after Jan de Visscher's engraving, after Adriaen van Ostade. It is likely either copy a or copy b as recorded in Hollstein, though the assignment cannot be determined as the sheet is trimmed to the borders of the image, leaving no visible inscriptions that may have appeared in the lower margin. Hollstein records copy a with the following inscriptions below the image: 'A. van Ostade pinxit. / Gerret van Schagen fecit et Excudit' (H. XXIV.146.3); copy b is recorded as having the inscription 'D. Teniers pinx.' according to J. E. Wessely.
