Not on view
Folded paper pattern for embroidery, part of a series of 12 that might have been part of a book of embroidery designs, possibly designed by Elvira Mary Courbould. This type of books would be purchased for women to engage in needlework activities and embroidery at the home, decorating a variety of textiles for interiors or to be used in the making of dresses for the members of the household. This plate, titled "Mountain Daffodil: Chair Back", contains a large bundle with elongated leaves and two hanging mountain daffodils, meant to be embroidered on a chair back.
