Numerous printers and engravers were engaged to satisfy the demand for paper money in the Confederacy. One printer was Blanton Duncan. At the bottom left of this twenty-dollar bill denomination of is the Vice President of the Confederacy, Alexander Hamilton Stephens. The allegorical figure, Industry, is seated between a beehive and Cupid at the center of the bill.
