Illustration with a design for a velvet gown and jacket bordered with vair, part of the 49th issue of the "Journal des dames et des modes", published in Paris on October 1st, 1913. The illustration features a woman wearing a long, yellow velvet skirt with brown border and a black velvet jacket with a thin, white fur border, and with white pleated cuffs, and tied in the front with blue ribbons with hanging tassels. She wears a matching hat in blue, black and purple, and purple high heels. A large, brown and black fur coat hangs on her back from her arms. Her face is heavily covered with makeup, featuring dark lips. She stands leaning on a gray commode with yellow and purple flowers, in an interior with striped walls.
