Not on view

One of only two known etchings by the artist, this work is based on a self-portrait watercolor (2016.588). On the brink of adulthood, the serious young man repeated a pose that his father, the successful artist George Richmond, had used in a self-portrait miniature painted when he too was twenty-one.
