15th plate of album with 60 19th-century costume plates and 1 drawing of mostly women's historical costumes, featuring a variety of designs for traditional costumes from different parts of the world, as well as costumes for literary characters, including Esmeralda. This plate consists of a woman wearing a costume for a mail woman, made up of a green jacket with tan neck, cuffs and buttons, and red borders, and a grayish-white skirt with flying mail doves carrying envelopes in their peaks and a blue stamp, over green pantaloons that match the jacket andd tan mid-calf boots with pairs of white feathers in the point. She wears a geen and red mailman hat on her head, white gloves, and carries a black cross-body mail bag full of envelopes. She is holding an envelope in one of her hands.
