17th plate of album with 60 19th-century costume plates and 1 drawing of mostly women's historical costumes, featuring a variety of designs for traditional costumes from different parts of the world, as well as costumes for literary characters, including Esmeralda. This plate consists of a woman wearing an artist costume, made up of an S-shaped brown gown with large volume on the back and a short trail, and white ruffled collar and cuffs, and a white apron with red patterns of lozenges and semi-abstract scrolling motifs, and red belt, and holding a painting palette and brushes on her hands.
